Mission

Miss Delaware 2008 contestants including Brittany Dempsey - Miss Delaware 2007, Amanda Debus - Delaware's Outstanding Teen 2008 and Vincenza Carrieri-Russo - Miss Delaware USA 2008

As a non-profit organization, our ultimate goal is to provide the well-rounded young women of New Castle County with academic scholarships and the chance to compete in (and seek additional scholarships) through the Miss Delaware and Miss America competitions. Furthermore, the Miss Greater Wilmington Organization aims to provide all of its participants with opportunities to grow as a person, public speaker, performer, and community leader. Former Miss America's, including state and local contestants can be seen in nearly every aspect of public life. Entertainers on film and stage, politicians, lawyers, doctors and much more. The abundance of cash scholarships made available to these young women assisted in making their dreams come true.
